Current as of July 6, 2010 CPCA advocacy efforts were heightened as clinic programs and services were threatened in the fiscal year 09-10. Clinic members around the state built a momentum of active and educated staff and patients. This page provides information on multiple efforts, ranging from the individual letters to legislators to public outcries through rallies and media.
The Stay Informed Network consists of community clinic and health center (CCHCs) advocates who want to be informed and updated on actions around state and national issues related to health and their impact to CCHCs and their patients. Current issues being highlighted are Healthcare Reform and the State Budget. If you are interested in receiving information, please contact anavarro@cpca.org with your name, email, city and zip code. CPCA is now on Twitter and Facebook. Please join our networks for up-to-date advocacy and information. The Dr. King Legacy Award is given to those whose life’s work exemplifies the spirit of Dr. King’s legacy of equality and justice. Ms. Hirota's advocacy of health care access for the underserved has immeasurably helped communities facing poverty, language barriers, and health disparities.
