Cost: No Charge Presented: August 20, 2009 In light of the recent devastating budget cuts, including the elimination of optional benefits and significant reductions to the traditional clinic programs, CPCA has contracted with Ray Hamby to develop a financial analysis tool to assist community clinics and health centers in planning for how to move forward. The purpose of this exercise is to provide community clinics with a simple, robust tool with which to quickly assess the impact of various changes in the clinic’s funding and reimbursement environment on the clinic’s bottom line and ability to serve its patients. It is hoped that this tool will provide a reliable way to both model the impacts of externally imposed changes beyond the organization’s control and test potential internal response strategies that might counteract or mitigate the more negative aspects of these external impacts.
