The California Primary Care Association presents the “Supervisor Skills Brown Bag Training Series” designed specifically for supervisors, managers, human resources professionals, and team leaders wanting a better understanding, system, and process of developing stellar on-the-job performers!
These learning modules are designed for high-potential employees, supervisors, and above. They focus on improving basic to intermediate leadership skills, for leaders in any work setting. Attendees can expect new ideas and tools to build healthier, happier, and more productive employees.

Module 2: Communicating Clearly and Effectively
Tuesday, July 6, 2010: Session 1
Business professionals must have rules and tools for communicating effectively. Leaders need political acumen, which hinges heavily on how well leaders manage up and lead down organizationally. Every leader must develop these communication skills, or face considerable hardship navigating organizational life, its stressors, and the unique demands inherent in leading others. This session covers:
• Describing and analyzing skills needed for "Managing Up, Leading Down" for political acumen, agenda/decision-making, and employee engagement
• Becoming participatory leaders focused on developing people
Tuesday, July 13, 2010: Session 2
This session layers learning acquired in Communicating Clearly and Effectively Session 1. It reiterates the rules and tools for communicating effectively, to achieve superior listening mechanics and conflict resolution skills. Every leader must develop these communication skills, or face considerable hardship navigating organizational life, its stressors, and the unique demands inherent in leading others. This session covers:
• Defining, distinguishing, and formulating crucial active listening skills
• Identifying methods for dealing with difficult people and resolving conflict on the job.

Fees
$180 Per connection per Module for a CPCA member or CCHC*
$210 Per connection for a non-CCHC*
*These fees allow the organization to arrange for multiple participants to share one internet and telephone connection. Additional registration fees apply for each additional connection used.
Members and CCHCs: Register today for all 4 Modules in this training series and receive a $20 discount per module. This discount is only available prior to the start of the first module. Any cancellations will be prorated based on requests made in the appropriate timeframe per module.
Cancellation
To receive a full refund of your registration fee, CPCA must receive your written cancellation notice one week prior to the Module purchased. No refunds will be offered for cancellations after the cancellation deadline.
Registrations may be transferred to another individual by written request up to the day of the event. No shows are responsible for payment of registration fees and are not eligible for a refund.
