Alameda Health Consortium, Alliance for Rural Community Health, Coalition of Orange County Community Clinics, Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County, Community Clinic Consortium of Contra Costa and Solano, Council of Community Clinics, Northern Sierra Rural Health Network, San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium, Shasta Consortium of Community Health Centers and Community Health Partnership

Workshop Goals:
• Know the essential questions for selecting a product that works for your health center.
• Understand the preparation (leadership, assessment, planning, staff/clinician engagement,
re-design and training) that precedes a successful implementation.
• Understand the opportunities that an EHR presents, particularly the value of electronic data.
• Be cognizant of the challenges and strategies to address them.
• Understand basic Quality Improvement theory and its relevance to HIT implementation.

• Quality Improvement Theory
• Pre Implementation: Organizational Readiness, Workflow Analysis and Process Redesign, Cost of Waste and Vendor Selection
• Post Implementation-Data, Population and Panel Management
• Implementation-Project Work Plan and Training
• Lessons Learned

Attendance Recommendations:
• Executive Leaders (recommend Medical Director and Executive Director and one other leader, for example: Director of Operations, IT, QI, or Finance) from Community Health Centers planning to implement an EHR in 6-12 months
• Strongly encourage leadership teams of 2-3.
• No more than three attendees per agency.

Fees
No charge, but pre-registration is required.
Seating is limited.  No more than three attendees per agency.
