Workforce
Overview
CPCA established a Workforce Task Force comprised of clinic and regional consortia representatives that advises CPCA staff on workforce programs and projects. The CPCA workforce development team consists of Jim Perkins, Deputy Director of Programs, Caryn Rizell, Workforce Development Coordinator, Serena Kirk, Senior Policy Analyst, and Donna Scheerer-Treleven, Senior Program Coordinator.
Current Workforce Development Activities
Current Workforce Development Activities include:
- Partnering with higher education to develop clinical training opportunities for students, especially through the new Cal-SEARCH program.
- Developing a resource guide to assist with for recruitment and retention of clinic workforce.
- Hosting and supporting the CPCA Clinic Careers website.
- Representing community health centers on various statewide healthcare workforce coalitions.
