This train the trainer session presents the impact of public charge and COVID-19 on immigrant health in Long Beach, CA. Service providers, school administrators, city officials and others who serve immigrant communities are welcome to join us to protect the health and safety of all regardless of immigration status. You will learn about the public charge test, best practices to inform community and opportunities to advocate for our collective health. 

Presented by the California Primary Care Association, Long Beach Immigrant Rights Coalition, The Children's Partnership as part of the Protecting Immigrant Families Work group. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After this training, participants will:

  • Feel comfortable presenting on public charge to their clients and patients;
  • Be Informed and understand where to get resources and information they need; and,
  • Connect with partners and build community with other providers supporting immigrant families.
