HIV Prevention Peer Network Meeting
2021 Chair:
Dr. Sushant Bandarpalle, Regional Medical Director, St. John’s Well Child & Family Center
CPCA Staff:
Lead: Isaias Iniguez,
Associate Director of Workforce Development & Special Populations
Support: Nicole Key, Senior Administrative Assistant
OVERVIEW:
With the launch of the national Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative, health centers are playing vital roles with reducing the number of new HIV infections in the United States by 75 percent within five years. Recognizing that the most powerful HIV prevention and treatment tools in history are now available to health centers, through the HIV Prevention Peer Network meetings, health centers will learn how their peers are leveraging such tools and identify best practices that further strengthen a clinic’s HIV screenings and PrEP prescriptions efforts.
GOALS:
To provide a forum for collaboration, information sharing and strategy development among California clinics and consortia that seek to increase HIV prevention efforts . The HPPN will also support CPCA with identifying state and federal needs that support clinics with HIV Prevention training and technical assistance.
