Technology is at the forefront of innovation. When you think about the technical changes even in the last 10-15 years – Twitter, Facebook, smartphones, automotive GPS, Fitbits – it becomes hard to imagine where the future will take us in healthcare over the next few decades. Technology and practice redesign can mitigate labor-intensive workflows leading to provider burnout. In this webinar, Adele Allison, industry expert and futurist, will explore practice redesign through healthcare technologies, including the integration and use of medical scribing. Roopak Manchanda, CEO of BlueNovo, will also be on hand to discuss the strategies, approaches, and services BlueNovo provides to prepare health centers to get to the next level of technology utilization while, at the same time, optimizing the utilization of their electronic health records (EHRs). Designed to stimulate the imagination and drive strong data capture for financial earnings, technology and medical scribes are growing solutions to the developing problem of clinical streamlining and data integrity.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Explain and assess technology advances according to Moore's Law and Gartner's Hype Cycle;
  • Study future roadmaps for established technologies such as EHRs and mobile healthcare apps; and
  • Explore imaginative new ideas in healthcare technical developments.
