Purpose:
Join CPCA and the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to learn about the Clinic Workforce Stabilization and Retention Payment Program and ask questions your health center may have on the registration and application process.

Background & Context:
Governor Newsom signed the health omnibus bill, AB 204, on September 29, 2022. It includes the new Clinic Workforce Stabilization and Retention Program (CWSRP), which provides up to $1,000 state-funded retention payment to eligible community health center staff across the state. The workforce retention payment will be a one-time payment for eligible health center employees, regardless of full or part-time status. The health center is not required to provide matching funds for an employee to qualify for the retention payment. CPCA supported AB 204 and provided technical assistance to the Administration as it drafted the legislation. CPCA is working with the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) on program implementation. This webinar is part of CPCA’s assistance to qualifying health centers applying for and operationalizing the program.
