In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, CPCA has decided to postpone all non-essential webinars and training activities until April 3.
As the shift from volume-based to value-based payment accelerates, primary care providers, including health centers, must make critical changes to become ready for value-based payments and ensure their financial sustainability. But what changes need to be made? Should you even make those changes? In this 60-minute webinar, participants will hear from Aledade and CalHIPSO about different VBP models including Accountable Care Organizations (ACO), as well as necessary changes including risk coding, health centers must make in order to succeed in a risk-based environment.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Provide a high level overview of value-based care and current models of value-based care including ACO;
- Explore what it means to be a risk-based organization (hidden issues with improper risk coding), and how to risk-stratify patient populations; and
- Provide examples of how health centers have transformed their coding practices to take on risk.
