Emergency Preparedness

CPCA offers a variety of emergency preparedness programming and technical assistance to community health centers including local, state and national resources. FQHCs: HRSA Health Center Program

Community Health Centers (CHC)s are community-based and patient-directed organizations. California CHCs deliver care to the State’s most vulnerable individuals.  Public and private non-profit health care organizations may apply to receive section 330 funding from HRSA and this page will provide information about those opportunities.

A variety of resources can be found on this page includes the basics of electronic health records, meaningful use information, health information exchange and telemedicine.

Licensing & Certification/OSHPD 3 

“Licensing” is the process of acquiring a permit to operate a clinic in California. “Certification,” refers to the process of becoming eligible to bill and receive payments for services provided to Medi-Cal or Medicare patients. This page will provide CHCs with additional information about L&C and CPCA staff contacts who can help CHCs navigate the process with the State of California. 

Managed Care

For those interested, CPCA conducts a Medi-Cal Managed Care Task Force as a forum to discuss community clinic and health center issues relating to Medi-Cal Managed Care health plan contracts and monitor concerns and changes in the Medi-Cal Managed Care environment to provide CPCA with guidance on responding to these developments.
