It includes certain administrative and compliance activities that are necessary to run its business and to support the core functions. CPCA offers a variety of emergency preparedness programming and technical assistance to community health centers including local, state and national resources. These materials assist CHCs to take concrete steps to mitigate, prepare, respond and recover from an emergency. Visit our Emergency Preparedness page to learn more specifics about these resources.
Community Health Centers (CHC)s are community-based and patient-directed organizations. California CHCs deliver care to the State’s most vulnerable individuals. Public and private non-profit health care organizations may apply to receive section 330 funding from HRSA and this page will provide information about those opportunities.

“Licensing” is the process of acquiring a permit to operate a clinic in California. “Certification,” refers to the process of becoming eligible to bill and receive payments for services provided to Medi-Cal or Medicare patients. This page will provide CHCs with additional information about Licensing and Certification (L&C) and CPCA staff contacts who can help CHCs navigate the process with the State of California.

For those interested, CPCA conducts a Medi-Cal Managed Care Task Force as a forum to discuss community clinic and health center issues relating to Medi-Cal Managed Care health plan contracts and monitor concerns and changes in the Medi-Cal Managed Care environment to provide CPCA with guidance on responding to these developments.
