Integrated Dyadic Behavioral Health Services

Integrated Dyadic Behavioral Health Services in Health Centers

DATE:
June 7, 2023
TIME:  1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Pacific)

California is in the middle of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative, where one of the goals is to enhance the primary care system to address behavioral health needs and expand equitable access with no wrong door for children, youth, and families. As part of this initiative, Medi-Cal will cover integrated physical and behavioral health screenings and services for the whole family during pediatric medical visits, not just the child who is the identified patient. Dyadic care recognizes that environmental influence, especially the caregiving context, on a child is a critical prevention and health promotion target to support healthy child development.

During this webinar, a subject matter expert will provide an overview of Dyadic Services and Dyadic Caregiver Services, including who are dyadic care providers, what services are covered and how to bill. This webinar will also include an update regarding a new Fee-For-Service reimbursement for Federally Qualified Health Centers, Rural Health Clinics, and Tribal Health Programs for dyadic care services that are provided on the same day as a medical visit.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Describe dyadic clinical services in pediatric primary care and their benefits;
  • Understand the new Medi-Cal dyadic services and dyadic caregiver services benefits;
  • Learn about the new enhanced fee-for-service reimbursement methodology for health centers; and,
  • Learn how to integrate dyadic services into your health center.
