Understand Your Role On A Health Center Governing Board 2023

This webinar is the first in a two-part series aimed at helping board members effectively fulfill their volunteer governance role.  This first session will define board member responsibilities, explain the board-CEO partnership in governance, and how to create a positive board culture. The second part of this training is scheduled for May 30th Effective Board Recruitment & Engagement.

The content for these sessions will be most helpful for new and incoming board members, or for seasoned board members who would appreciate a refresher.


LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • By the end of the session, participants will be able to describe health center board roles; 
  • Explain the responsibilities of individual board members;
  • Discuss the importance of the board-CEO partnership in health center governance; and,
  • Apply tools for building a positive board culture.

Do not register for the second session if you are eligible for complimentary registration. A CPCA staff member will process the registration for the second session, once you register for this first session. Confirmation emails for the second session will be sent out every Friday.

HOW TO REGISTER
In order to register for any CPCA event, you must first be logged in to your account. If you do not have an account, you can create one. If you do not remember your login credentials, please email training@cpca.org. Once logged in, click the Register button, answer any questions that appear on the screen and click Save Responses. Continue scrolling to the bottom of the page and click Proceed to Checkout. Lastly, complete all payment details and click, Submit. You will receive one immediate email with a receipt of your order. CPCA provides training and education to community health centers for general illustration and instructional purposes. Registration is required for all CPCA training and events. You will receive two email communications immediately upon registering. The first is simply a receipt. The second from zoom.us, under CPCA Training or a CPCA staff member's name, will contain webinar access information.  This email will only be delivered to the individual who is registered for the event and will contain a unique link for a single connection. We recommend you add this event to your calendar using the link contained in your webinar access email. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam/junk folders before contacting training@cpca.org.

Cancellation Policy:
Effective 11/1/21 - No refunds will be available for cancellations that are received within 10 business days before the start date of the event/training. To receive a maximum refund of 50% of the registration price prior to this deadline, all cancellations must be in writing and submitted by emailing training@cpca.org. Substitutions of registrations in lieu of cancellation is encouraged.

Invoicing/Pay Later:
Effective 12/1/21 - the "Pay Later" option will no longer be supported when registering for trainings and events that have a fee associated with them. Payment will be required at the time of registration via credit card.
