Exploring Residency Training Models for Your Organization

This live event occurred on 02/05/19; to receive a complimentary copy of the recording via email, please continue registering below.

Recent federal and state funding opportunities have made it possible for community health centers to develop new physician residency programs and partnerships. However, given the complexities of Graduate Medical Education (GME), it can be challenging to determine which residency model best suits your organization given the resources, infrastructure, and staff available. This 90-minute webinar will review each of the different residency program models and share case examples of health centers who evaluated and chose the appropriate model for their organization.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Understand the different residency program and partnership models community health centers use to train physician residents;
  • Discuss the pros and cons of each residency model; and,
  • Hear health centers' first-hand experience in choosing a model that worked best for their organization.

PRESENTERS
  • Dean Germano, Chief Executive Officer, Shasta Community Health Center
  • Kiki Nocella, PhD, MHA, Director, Wipfli, LLP
  • Lisa Ward, Chief Medical Officer, Santa Rosa Community Health
